Bro Futurists is the title for an (art) team that I captain.
We run around and do stuff.
It's pretty loose these days; everyone has so much going on, always.
We make stuff when we can, and try and organize events here and there.
I've been increasingly interested and drawn to ideas and events that have an impact on a community that wouldn't normally attend an art exhibition, fashion show, or music thingy.
Camping trips, events in public parks, art for shelter, and the burrito project are the things that create the most interest for me right now.
What is the role of an artist in the community?
What is the role of an artist on the street that you live on?
These are the questions that I'm interested in right now.
Upcoming ideas that are baking my noodle: A bike donation project to bring to orphanages in Mexico, more events in the park, a bicycle operated spin-art machine, more burritos to give to the homeless, a warehouse/space in a neighborhood.
Anyways, the Bro Futurists blog got a slight update today (artists listed on the left side).
